Happy Tuesday everybody!!
Today I’m just showing you a sneak peek of my “Winter Trend” photoshoot!!
For my trend look, I did some research and for our A/W trend, at the moment there is alot of looking young and that natural glow. Less is so much more! The more I looked into it I found we were going back to our childhood movies and shows of when we were small. But I started to get my inspiration from one of the four seasons, winter, which is also my favourite time of year! Winter is all about fun, enjoyment, happiness, and of course believing. Theres alot of fantasy images and advertisements associated with Christmas, a huge example is the M&S Ad with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley<3. All this brings us back to being youthful, innocent and forever young.
(Above: Rosie as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz)
(Above: Again Rosie as Snow White)
I got huge inspiration from this advertisement, and wanted to recreate that wonderful young, beautiful, childish look! I think for winter, deep red lips will never die out, BUT… red has had some competition this season with a deep purple plum and I just love both colours!!
Heres the look I created with a pale youthful complexion, individual lashes and nightmoth lip liner with dolly pink cheeks for a hit of colour. My model was perfect as she’s just so young looking and has clean, clear gorgeous pale skin.
Hope you guys liked my post keep checking in to see the final professional photos!!

Hello everyone!! Hope we’re all nearly set for christmas?
So this weeks “Hit or Miss” is going to be our one and only beautiful Kate Hudson!!
Kate wore this gorgeous red gown by the wonderful Prabal Gurung, to the amfar inspiration gala.
Kates hair and makeup is done to perfection and also this beautiful gown complements her figure. Overall I think Mrs Hudson here has got herself a hit!!
What do all you guys think? Let me know.
Hello everyone!! Hope you all had great week.
But if you didn’t, don’t panic, the weekend is here to brighten everything up, and to start things off my weekend started a little early!! Mark Rogers, Yes, Irelands Trend and Head Makeup artist for Benefit came to town.
I was so excited to see a successful, working makeup artist at work. When we got there, we got served wine and cookies and got a Benefit notepad and catalog (cute eh?) I made my way to the front row for the best view. Every makeup artist works differently and puts their own twist on things so I learned a few tricks and tips from him,for example where to only apply concealer and where to powder on the face, and I also learned alot about Benefit. I came away wanting to know more about their beautifully decorated products.
He swore by some of the products he used and said himself he uses some on a daily basis. The POREfessional is a real keeper for filling in those fine lines and very visible pores. Also I got a sample of the Benefit Total moisture facial cream, and I can say this is for sure on my christmas list. I would best describe it as a thick velvet cream, and theres no words to describe what its like on the skin only pure silk.
Mark made you feel comfortable and really got his audience going with his funny sense of humour. I will definitely be attending another master class with him whenever he’s back and would recommend anyone whos really interested in makeup to go along and enjoy the experience!! I was so lucky to get a photo with him aswell.
So hope you enjoyed this post!! Till next time stay beautiful, like always!
So here I am all excited for this weekends “trend and decade” photoshoot!! I have that gut feeling that its going to be one of my best.. ekkkk… So, brushes washed, check. Accessories at the ready, check. Inspiration board, check. Wont be giving away what I’ll be creating. You’ll have to wait and see the final photos my friends :P.
